Enrollment Agreement
1. SCHOOLMATE UNIVERSITY is a government-recognized private educational institution committed to making quality education feasible and affordable. The school maintains an effective educational program that aims to develop every child's potential to its fullest while teaching them to use their skills and abilities for their own growth and for the betterment of the community of which they are a part.
2. Our school is committed to enriching the learning experience of every student by fostering lifelong learning that builds a strong academic foundation and cultivates the skills and values needed to thrive in community life and future careers. Furthermore, the school acknowledges the vital role of parents in the effective academic performance and holistic development of their children. Meaningful cooperation between the school and parents can only be strengthened through open and continuous communication.
3. Our school is fully equipped and capable of delivering quality education through both face-to-face and online learning modalities. Students are continuously trained and prepared to adapt effectively to different learning environments, ensuring that their education remains uninterrupted in times of calamities, pandemics, or any situation that may necessitate a transition in learning modalities. With this commitment to adaptability and excellence, the school ensures the continuous delivery of meaningful and quality education.
4. Tuition and Other Fees: Tuition fees are structured under various payment schemes to provide parents with flexible payment options. Kindly note that the tuition fee is exclusive of miscellaneous fees, including technology maintenance fees and other charges that may arise in connection with the school's activities and operations.
5. Schedule of Payment: The schedule of payments for tuition fees must be strictly observed. A grace period of two (2) weeks is given to settle your account based on the payment scheme you have previously chosen. Should the account remain unpaid after the given grace period, a surcharge for late payment shall be imposed. The surcharge is computed on a monthly basis until the outstanding balance is fully settled. The current surcharge rate is Php 50.00 per month, wherein any fraction of a month shall be considered as one whole month.
6. Withdrawal: Once a student is enrolled at SCHOOLMATE UNIVERSITY, the enrollment is deemed valid for one academic year. However, should unavoidable circumstances arise that would require the parents/guardians to withdraw the student's enrollment, the following procedures must be observed:
Step 1: Submit a withdrawal letter in duplicate addressed to the school principal, stating the intention to withdraw the student and the reasons for such withdrawal.
Step 2: Wait for further advice from the administration office regarding the schedule and process for the crediting or refund of any applicable amount to the student's account.
A student who stops attending or participating in classes and other learning activities during the current academic year must officially inform the school in order to be considered officially dropped. Any outstanding tuition and miscellaneous fees incurred before the student's official dropping status, including dues from the most recent grading period or quarter attended, must still be settled accordingly. Failure to formally notify the school of the student's withdrawal or dropping shall result in the continuous charging of all fees and obligations due for the entire academic year.
7. Refund of Fees: Refunds of paid school fees are subject to compliance with the school's refund policies and requirements. If parents decide to withdraw the student's enrollment, refunds shall be granted in accordance with the following schedule:
- 100% if a refund is applied for before the opening of classes.
- 90% if a refund is applied for within the 1st week of the academic year. No refund on miscellaneous fees.
- 80% if a refund is applied for within the 2nd week of the academic year. No refund on miscellaneous fees.
- No refund beyond the 2nd week after classes have opened.
Refunds on miscellaneous fees may only be granted provided that the student's name has not yet been enrolled, enlisted, or subscribed to the various services availed by the school, including ClassIn, Student Accident Insurance, Learning Management Systems, and Student Management Systems.
10. Transfer of Students and Transfer of Credentials: A student who desires to transfer to another school is entitled to be provided with transfer credentials as long as the student is free from any financial obligations with us.
11. Withholding of Credentials: As per DepEd Order No. 88 s. 2010, the school reserves the right to withhold the student's credentials for the reason of nonpayment of financial obligations. The credentials shall be released as soon as the obligations have been settled.
Parent's Photograph and Video Consent. During the school year, we take photographs or videos of school activities involving students to share the school's important milestones as well as our students' achievements. Some photographs or videos may capture your child's participation, directly or indirectly. These photos and videos may be published through our website, social media pages, news bulletins, billboards, and ads. With this, we seek your consent in allowing us to publish photos or videos that may involve your child on the said platforms.
